The band Magnoval was formed in 1990. Throughout their career, playing right up until 2000 when they recorded what are so far their final recordings, Magnoval remained true to the style with which they began in 1990 – simply beatpunk – tight rhythms, heavy guitars, playful guitar riffs and harmonised vocals. Magnoval made its debut on the music scene in 1992 with a gig at the Mamut club in Prague’s Jižní Město district.They subsequently performed frequently at the Prosek club in Prosek. Work on their first studio recording began in 1995 – it consisted of four songs.Over the following years, the band had to cope with the departure of their guitarist – they adapted and created a new set list for their performances. In 2000, they recorded what were, at the time, their final recordings. This time, however, they recorded in their own rehearsal room; unfortunately, the convenience of recording came at the expense of the final quality of the recording. That year, they performed for the first time at an open-air festival in Prague called Open Air Jižňák. In 2002, the band disbanded.
